Several years ago, my parents traveled to Hunan Province with me by train, which took us almost eight hours to get there. But last summer holiday, I decided to travel to Hunan again for a brief vacation. But this time, the transportation has been changed. I traveled there by high speed railway train, which only took me four hours to get there. That's almost half the time of my former journey. But I ask myself why. Why can we enjoy so many conveniences in China nowadays? And now I have the answer. It is because of China’s wisdom to always put people at the first place.

China spares no efforts to facilitate people’s lives. 2008 witnessed the coming into being of the first high speed railway train in China. And in 2018, China's high speed railway train reached the top speed of six hundred kilometers per hour. People are no longer tired of the long journey. Poverty alleviation is another reflection of China’s wisdom. So many years ago, in some remote villages, people had to climb steep mountains to get to their houses. When they had to work or buy something they need, they climbed down the cliffs and travelled thousands of miles away. One step goes wrong and a person will die. But now, with China’s poverty alleviation efforts, millions of people are lifted out of poverty. And instead of living in dangerous and mountainous areas, they now live in prosperous cities. That’s what we call China’?wisdom.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Chinese president Xi Jinping set forth the principle of putting people’s lives at the first place.The construction of the Huoshenshan Hospital started really early and the last brick of the hospital was placed precisely after only 10 days. China’s wisdom played a vital role in saving tens of millions of people’s lives.
