The man whose pictures have told us a million stories of life on this planet now shares one great story and dream with us: the destruction of nature can be reversed.

More than a thousand water sources are flowing again on the grounds of the Institution Terra. Two and a half million trees are planted already. The wildlife has returned, even the jaguars.

The land is no longer privately owned by the Salgados, it's a National Park now that belongs to everybody. It has become a model for abused lands anywhere else to be turned back into forests.
