Some people agree that the best way to become successful in life is to get the university education,

others disagree with it and reckon that nowadays it is no longer be true.

Some people have suggested that tertiary education is a guarantee to success.

While I can see their points, I tend to believe university credentials are applied to different people.

1Admittedly , university education is equal to future job prospects to some extent.

2As the job market is fiercely competitive currently ,those who graduate from university ,especially top university plus popular major are more likely to find jobs with decent salary as opposed to those who drop out of school.

3This is because for certain professions, such as consultants ,psychologists, lawyers ,it takes them years to build up their knowledge and receive professional training to step into this area with high threshold

4What fuels this situation is in some countries where people's academic performances is closely linked to their future careers , people are anxious to climb the academia ladder to strengthen their competitiveness.

5Also, the lack of resources escalate their competition , resulting in credentials worship.

1However ,university education is not compatible with all people.

2Some people have more interest to take a gap year when they can engage with the society ,or choose ?to work at an early age.

3Therefore, they have no willingness to waste their time sitting classroom and listening theories.

4Similarly, those who do manual jobs, such as hair cutting, fixing machines , it is their practice that adds to their reputation rather than credentials.

5In other words, they cannot ?earn clients ?through showing their university certificate.

6Since there are diversified professions in the market without superiority or inferiority ?,university credentials should not be imposed on those who choose a different career path nor ?used to rank different positions.

In summary ,university credentials are useful for those who pursue in academia or sit in offices ,but not for all people.
