how do you get along with your neighbors ?

as far as I am concerned , there are generally two ways for me to get on well with?neighbors .

1st?in everyday life , we would do?whatever we can?to show a sort of kindness and warmth to each other , which is nothing big or time consuming , just trivial things out of which we can feel a sort of mutual care and respect , for instance ,.....

2nd?on special days or festivals , giving presents is the other approach to enhance interpersonal ties between me and those who live next door?, actually it is a Chinese tradition to exchange gifts on important occasions , for example ,.....
