100 Rooms of Enemies - Room 100 (& Credits) - The Supporter & The Defender

The defining "One Screener" ROM Hack. 100 Rooms of Enemies is a project started by Daizo Dee Von and later collaborated with Mellonpizza where the main premise is to "get as far as you can." There are a hundred rooms where you must clear all the enemies. Every ten rooms, the theme switches, and new enemies start to come in every fifth room. There are even a handful of bosses to take down! A "Nightmare Edition" is in the works, but is nowhere close to done to have an official release. The version you're seeing is "Do or Die," which means one life or start all over. There is an "Arcade" mode that gives you five attempts, and lives to find along the way.

This is the FINAL BOSS of the original 100 Rooms of Enemies simply known as "The Supporter & The Defender". This counts as a rematch against Thwomp Boss, but Mouser returns for a Round 3 in a new body after being completely slaughtered in Room 97. Thwomp also has a couple new surprises! We are at the top, finally.

So there are two sorta outcomes to this fight, and it relates to which one of the bosses' dies first. In this video, I show off what happens if you kill Thwomp Boss first. The concept behind the fight comes from Dark Souls 3 where killing one of them gives the other boss it's abilities. So if Thwomp Boss dies, Mouser can now stun the player when it lands on the ground, as well as summon bullet bills from the canons. If Mouser died first (which is far easier to do), Thwomp Boss will now throw bombs, and more bombs will be summoned from the canons.

The credits' "THANK YOU" being made of water tiles is a reference to Collection's credits (this hack: https://smwc.me/s/5963 ). However, hitting the goal post does not clear the level...yet. The credits screen is the victory march, and you have complete control of mario's jumping still (more fun that way.)

I'll just say, Nightmare Mode's 100th Room will be something else. I'll just say that things will be put together for the final boss.
